The capacity utilization rate registered at 70.6%. This figure represents a 0.9% decrease from the prior week and a 3.1% increase when measured against the same week the previous year.
As of the week concluding on December 23, the year-to-date production of U.S. crude steel stands at approximately 87.047 million tons. Although this indicates a slight uptick of 0.1% when compared to the production levels of the previous year, the capacity utilization rate witnessed a y-o-y decrease of 2.1%, standing at 75.4%.
