The US' crude steel output decreased by 0.2% week-on-week but increased by 1.2% year-on-year in the week ending September 2, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
The capacity utilization rate was 76%, a 0.2% decrease week-on-week and a 1.5% year-on-year drop.
As of September 2, the adjusted year-to-date output was 59.84 million net tons, a 1.8% year-on-year drop, and the capacity utilization rate was 76%, a 3.7% year-on-year decrease.
