US CRC exports decreased

US CRC exports decreased in March compared to the previous month.

US CRC exports decreased

According to US Department of Commerce (USDOC) statistics, the US exported about 58,700 tonnes of cold rolled coil (CRC) in March this year, up 34% m-o-m and down 11% y-o-y.

Among these, exports to Mexico accounted for the largest share with about 40,800 tonnes, up 42% month-on-month and down 7.9% y-o-y. Canada ranked second with around 17,000 tonnes, while exports to other countries remained below 1,000 tonnes.

The value of exports during the period was approximately US$72 million, up 31.7 per cent m-o-m and down 11.9 per cent y-o-y.
