The US Department of Commerce announced the preliminary results of its dumping investigation into Thai circular welded carbon steel pipe (CWP). The decision was published in the US official newspaper, the Federal Register. Accordingly, it was determined that Thai producers and exporters did not sell the products in question below market value in the US market.
Thailand-based Saha Thai Steel Pipe Public Co. and Thai Premium Pipe Co. were reportedly not dumping on sales to the United States during the review period covering the period March 2023 - February 2024.
28 Companies' Investigations Canceled
The ministry also announced that it has partially canceled the review of 28 Thai CWP producers and exporters that had no evidence of any shipments to the US during the investigation period. It was noted that the relevant decision was officially notified to the companies in question.
Product Codes Under Investigation Announced
It was reported that CWP products within the scope of the investigation are included under the HS codes 610.3231, 610.3234, 610.3241, 610.3242, 610.3243, 610.3252, 610.3254, 610.3256, 610.3258 and 610.4925 within the scope of the US Customs Tariff Schedule (HTSUS).
