Unemployment in the UK drops to 4.2 percent

Unemployment data was released in the UK today. According to ONS data, unemployment in the country decreased from 4.3 percent to 4.2 percent.

Unemployment fell to 4.2 percent in October, according to data from the British Office for National Statistics (ONS).

It was noted by the ONS that the salary support program provided by the British government to those who are unable to work due to the epidemic was terminated with the end of September and that those whose dismissal procedures continued in October may not have been reflected in the data yet.

THE NEED FOR QUALIFIED EMPLOYEES CONTINUES
The need for skilled workers in the country continued to make itself felt in almost every sector.

According to the data of ONS, the total workforce deficit in the country increased by 434 thousand 500 in the three-month period covering September, October and November, reaching a total of 1 million 219 thousand. According to the data, the total workforce deficit in the UK is 434,500 in November than before the epidemic (first quarter of 2020).
