Ukrzaliznytsia sold 113,000 tons of scrap for 670 million UAH in 2022

In 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) was successfully implemented in the Prozorro system. 113.04 thousand scrap ferrous metals were sold with a total value of 669.98 million UAH.

In 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) was successfully implemented in the Prozorro system. 113.04 thousand scrap ferrous metals were sold with a total value of 669.98 million UAH. This is 43.8% and 55.4% less, respectively, compared to 2021.

Thus, during the year, UZ managed to realize 143 out of 375 published auctions. Among the main buyers of raw materials were:

Metinvest-Resources – 37 lots (33.28 thousand tons for 178.1 million UAH);
Dniprostal – 36 lots (30.34 thousand tons for 155.66 million UAH);
Ferrolite – 16 lots (12.3 thousand tons for 95.19 million UAH).
Also, scrap metal of the railway operator was purchased by Energosteel Plant, Ekotovresurs, Zahid-Technomedbud, Keramet, Ukrmet-Invest, Ukrmet Center, Alliancemetprom and others.

Various types of raw materials were presented among the scraps sold, including rails, wheels, linings, wheel axles, wagon frames and others.

Overall, the operator planned to apply 170 thousand tons of scrap metal in the railway year. The state company also intended to dismantle 13,000 wagons, the weight of which is partially included in the above figure.
