According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod exports in July 2024 decreased by 13.3% y/y, dropping from 50,802 tonnes to 44,030 tonnes. Compared to the previous month, exports saw a 124.1% decline.
Total wire rod exports in the January-July period increased by 98.7% to 575,457 tonnes, increase from 289,574 tonnes.
In July, Türkiye's top wire rod export destinations were Australia with 8,824 tonnes, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina with 7,999 tonnes, Kosovo with 4,159 tonnes, Guinea with 4,154 tonnes, and Trinidad and Tobago with 3,413 tonnes.
