Türkiye's steel bar imports decreased by 44.3%

SteelRadar gathered data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and reported that Türkiye's steel bar imports in February 2024 decreased by 44.3% yoy to 15,753 8,781 tons, compared to the same month of the previous year.

This figure was down 29.6% compared to the previous month, January.

Imports of steel bars in the January-February period decreased by 48.5% to 41,235 and 21,246 tons compared to the same period of the previous year.

The leading steel bar importing country of Türkiye in February was Iran with 4,709.6 tons, followed by Italy with 2,709.2 tons, France with 445.1 tons, Germany with 314.1 tons and Switzerland with 286.8 tons.
