According to information compiled by SteelRadar from Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, Türkiye's steel bar exports in May 2024 increased by 35.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 236,106 tons to 320,757 tons. This figure represents a 7.4% increase compared to the previous month, April.
Total steel bar exports in the January-May period increased by 19.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, rising from 1,232,473 tons to 1,478,256 tons.
The leading countries to which Türkiye exported steel bars in May were Yemen with 95,235 tons, followed by Romania with 22,562 tons, Ethiopia with 16,820 tons, Albania with 15,885 tons, and Syria with 14,779 tons.
