Türkiye's scrap imports increased by 6.6% between January and November

Türkiye's scrap imports in November 2024 increased by 13.4% y-o-y and 19.5% m-o-m.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's scrap imports in November increased by 13.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 1 million 542 thousand 362 tons to 1 million 750 thousand 607 tons. Compared to October, the previous month, it increased by 16.3%.

Total scrap imports in the January-November period increased by 6.6% from 17 million 017 thousand 672 tons to 18 million 138 thousand 462 tons.

In this period, the USA, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's scrap imports. Scrap imports from the US amounted to 355,147 tons, followed by the Netherlands with 297,765 tons, the UK with 197,198 tons, Belgium with 188,513 tons and Denmark with 107,746 tons.
