Türkiye's pig iron imports decreased by 68.8% in February

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's pig iron imports in February decreased by 68.8% y/y to 52,991 tons from 169,953 tons. It decreased by 66.6% compared to the previous month, January.

Total pig iron imports in January-February period decreased by 25.6% from 284 thousand 485 tons to 211 thousand 636 tons.

Russia, Kazakhstan and Norway ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's pig iron imports during the month in question. Pig iron imports from Russia amounted to 32,902 tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 14,531 tons and Norway with 6,052 tons.
