According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's iron ore imports in September decreased by 5.2% compared to the same month of the previous year, from 1,093.36 tons to 1,037.04 tons. Compared to the previous month, August, it increased by 145.7%.
Total iron ore imports in the January-September period increased by 26.1% from 6 million 221 thousand 529 tons to 8 million 300 thousand 409 tons.
Türkiye imported the most iron ore from Brazil with 582,086 tons, followed by Sweden with 164,994 tons, Uzbekistan with 159,725 tons, Ukraine with 82,502 tons and Mali with 27,756 tons.
