According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's iron ore imports in June increased by 29.8% y/y, rising from 723,140 tons to 938,883 tons. Compared to May, the previous month, imports increased by 6.8%.
Total iron ore imports for the January-June period increased by 50.7%, rising from 3,595,595 tons to 5,419,854 tons.
In June, Türkiye's largest iron ore imports came from Brazil, with 413,397 tons, followed by Uzbekistan with 174,554 tons, Sweden with 164,976 tons, Ukraine with 158,505 tons, and Russia with 26,747 tons.
