According to data collected by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Undersecretariat of Customs' preliminary foreign trade data, Türkiye's iron and steel import value in September increased by 9.5% y-o-y to USD 1.74 billion.
In this month, iron and steel import value came in sixth place in the list of products with the highest import value.
In the January-September period of this year, imports decreased by 9.7% yoy to USD 17.38 billion.
In the mentioned month, the import value of iron or steel products came in 14th place in the list of the country's products with the highest import value.
In September, the import value of iron or steel products increased by 13.4% yoy to USD 343.13 million , while in the first nine months of the year it increased by 2.2% y-o-y to USD 3.09 billion.
