According to information compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Ministry of Customs and Trade's foreign trade preliminary data, Türkiye's iron and steel import value in June decreased by 14.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 1.69 billion USD.
In the said month, iron and steel imports ranked fifth in the country's highest import value products list.
In the January-June period of this year, it decreased by 11.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 11.7 billion USD.
In the said month, iron or steel goods import value ranked 14th in the country's highest import value products list.
In June, iron or steel goods import value decreased by 2.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 301.47 million USD, while in the first six months of the year, it increased by 2.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 2.04 billion USD.
