According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, the value of Turkey's iron and steel exports in December increased by 11.3% y-o-y to 928.05 million USD.
In the mentioned month, iron and steel export value ranked sixth in the list of products with the highest export value in the country.
For the whole of 2024, the value of iron and steel exports increased by 15.3% y-o-y to USD 10.19 billion.
In that month, the export value of iron or steel products ranked eighth on the list of the country's products with the highest export value.
In December, the export value of iron or steel products was recorded at USD 870.46 million, a decrease of 2% compared to the same month of the previous year, while in 2024 it decreased by 2.28% compared to the previous year to USD 9.82 billion.
