Through the information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute's (TUIK) data, Türkiye's ferro alloy imports in September 2024 decreased by 26.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, from 46,457 tons to 34,110 tons.
This number decreased by 15.3% compared to the previous month, August.
Total ferro alloy imports in the January-September period increased by 8.6% compared to the previous year, rising from 379,317 tons to 411,826 tons.
India was the leading country where Türkiye imported ferro alloys in September with 14,950 tons, followed by Georgia with 3,839 tons, Iran with 3,316 tons, Ukraine with 1,900 tons, and Russia with 2,393 tons.
