According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's ferroalloy imports in May 2024 decreased by 6.7% compared to the same month of the previous year, dropping from 53,569 tons to 49,983 tons.
This figure was an increase of 89.74% compared to the previous month, April.
Total ferroalloy imports in the January-May period decreased by 3.3% compared to the same period of the previous year, dropping from 199,913 tons to 193,357 tons.
India topped the list of countries from which Türkiye imported the most ferroalloys during this period, with 9,987.2 tons. India was followed by Ukraine with 9,621.8 tons and Georgia with 9,145.6 tons.
