While the export figure for August rose to 2.63 billion dollars, imports increased by 5.4 percent compared to August 2022 to 969 million dollars.
Exports increased by about 300 million dollars in August compared to the previous July, but lost 11.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
The export figure for August 2023 reached 4.13 million tons. On a yearly basis, construction material exports amounted to 29.86 billion dollars.
According to IMSAD data, foreign trade increased in August compared to July. The report also noted that construction material industry exports are trying to adapt to both new cost increases and the contribution of the Turkish lira correction. According to the published report, exports fell 11.3 percent compared to August 2022.
