World Steel Association (Worldsteel) announced crude steel production data for October 2024. Accordingly, Türkiye's crude steel production increased by 0.7% y-o-y to 3 million tons in October.
This figure decreased by 2.8% compared to the previous month, September. In September, 3.1 million tons of crude steel was produced. Türkiye climbed to eighth place in the world crude steel production ranking in the same month.
Türkiye's crude steel production in the January-October period increased by 12.4% y-o-y to 30.9 million tons.
Global crude steel production increased by 0.4% yoy to 151.2 million tons in the same month.
