According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's billet imports in September increased by 198% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 91,709 tons to 273,144 tons. Compared to the previous month of August, it increased by 0.03%.
Total billet imports for the January-September period decreased by 31% from 3,073,629 tons to 2,128,895 tons.
Türkiye imported the most billet from Malaysia with 67,147 tons, followed by the Russian Federation with 66,293 tons, Indonesia with 50,230 tons, Ukraine with 31,709 tons and Bahrain with 30,158 tons.
