In the light of information obtained from some sources, it was obtained that Türkiye decided to impose anti-dumping duty on solar energy (SPP) panel imports for five countries. The anti-dumping duty applied to China, one of Türkiye's most important solar energy exporters, will now apply to Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Croatia and Jordan.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Commerce, a fee of 25 USD per square meter will be charged for solar panels imported from Türkiye.
Turkish Industrial Development Bank offered a loan of 155 million dollars from the World Bank for the Türkiye Green Fund, which encourages investment in companies and aims to achieve the net zero target. Türkiye also established the green venture capital fund, which will support the net zero target in December 2023.
Progresiva Energy Investments, a Türkiye-based controller company, and Harbin Electric International, a China-based company, signed an agreement worth $600 million in February. The first phase of the agreement to build an electricity storage facility was determined as 375 million dollars. On the other hand, it was reported that 300 million dollars were provided by Chinese Habin Electric for the project, the first phase of which is ongoing.
