Türkiye sets dumping margin on hot rolled coil imports from China, India, Japan and Russia

The report stated that hot rolled coil imports from these countries were dumped and dumping margins were determined.

In the application made by domestic producers, Çolakoğlu Metalurji, Ereğli Iron and Steel Factories Inc. (Erdemir), İskenderun Iron and Steel Inc. (İsdemir), Habaş Industrial and Medical Gases Production Industry Inc. (Habaş) and Tosçelik Profile and Sheet Industry Inc. through the Türkiye Steel Producers Association (TÇÜD), it was stated that hot rolled flat steel imports originating from the People's Republic of China, India, Japan and Russia were made at dumped prices and caused damage to domestic production.

As a result of the evaluations made within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that plate sheets rolled in plate rolling mills were included in the scope and that products rolled in plate rolling mills from GTIPs 7208.51.98.10.00, 7208.51.98.90.00, 7208.52.99.10.00, 7208.52.99.90.00, 7208.90.80.10.11, 7208.90.80.10.12, 7208.90.80.20.11, 7208.90.80.20.12, 7225.40.40.00.00, 7225.40.60.00.00, 7225.40.90.00.00 could also be imported. It was foreseen that the sheet metals in the form of sheets rolled in the plate rolling mill would be excluded from the scope of the imports to be made from the mentioned GTIPs.

In this context, the 7208.37.00.90.12, 7208.38.00.90.12, 7208.39.00.90.12 GTIPs, which are classified as steels containing 0.006% or less carbon (IF steel), and the IF steels under the 7225.30.90 customs tariff position (GTP) were excluded from the scope, but in this investigation, the product subject to the investigation was included in the scope.

The countries and companies for which dumping margin was determined from hot coil imports are as follows;
