Turkiye is ready for green hydrogen production

According to a report prepared by the German energy agency together with a Turkish company, Turkey will be able to produce green hydrogen and export it to Germany by 2050 if the necessary investments are made.

Turkiye is ready for green hydrogen production

Former Permanent Representative of the OECD said, “According to the report prepared by the German energy agency with a Turkish company, we see that a significant amount of green hydrogen can be produced in Turkiye  with an investment of approximately 75 billion-120 billion dollars until 2050, and some of it can be exported to Germany.”

Former Permanent Representative of the OECD, stating that Germany is considering importing hydrogen from Turkiye within the scope of improving its energy security, said, “In this, there is a report prepared by the German energy agency together with a Turkish company. Accordingly, if an expenditure of approximately 75 billion-120 billion dollars is made until 2050, this means an investment of 4 billion dollars every year. Then we see that a significant amount of green hydrogen can be produced in Turkiye and some of it can be exported to Germany. This is an important potential for Turkiye to meet its climate commitments.
