Türkiye increases steel quota occupancy rates

Filling its full quota for railway materials, Türkiye achieved the same success with hollow sections. Türkiye used all of its initial quota of 1,554 tons of railway materials and filled its quota of 97,859 tons of hollow sections.

Looking at other quotas, 10.46% of welded pipe profiles, 15.93% of unalloyed steel wire, 70.02% of wide welded pipe quota and 11.94% of rebar quota were used.

In other countries, quota fulfillment rates remained unchanged from the previous weeks. China has fully utilized its quota of 127,995 tons of 4B metallic coated sheet and 6,987 tons of sheet pile, while India has consumed 31,678 tons of stainless bar and light section.

Türkiye's rapid quota filling shows that the momentum and demand in the steel industry is increasing. Compared to other countries, Türkiye remains committed to increasing its steel quota fill rates.
