Turkey's wire rod exports in the first nine months of this year decreased by 2.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to approximately 1.06 million tons. Export value totaled roughly US$850.2 million, up 10.2% year on year.
Among these, the top three export countries were Israel (approximately 227,000 tons), Romania (approximately 121,000 tons) and the Netherlands (approximately 80,200 tons).
In September alone, Turkey exported 158,000 tons of wire rod with an increase of 7.3% compared to the previous month, while it decreased by 21% compared to the same month of the previous year. These exports amounted to US$ 106.8 million, up 4.5% month on month and down 1.1% year on year.
