Turkey's wire rod exports decreased

Turkey's wire rod exports fell by 65% in the first five months of this year, mainly due to lower demand. Exports to Israel accounted for 24% of the decrease, while Australia's exports more than doubled to 18,000 tons.

Romania's exports plunged by 76% to 16,000 tons. Turkey imported 320,000 tons of wire rods, soaring by 75% y-o-y. Russia was the biggest supplier, with 86,000 tons, and Egypt ranked second with 51,000 tons. No supply in a year-ago period was observed.
