In 2023, seamless pipe imports recorded a large increase of 46.1% in the first month of the year compared to the same period last year. However, there was a decrease of 53.7% in February and the amount of imports decreased to 18,211 tons.
Although seamless pipe imports decreased by 9.2% in March compared to the same month last year, the decrease was compensated by the record increase of 94.3% compared to February this year.
In April, seamless pipe imports decreased by 2.2% compared to the previous month and by 11.5% compared to April of last year, reaching 34 thousand 608 tons.
Rise in may
Although imports in May decreased compared to January, they increased compared to February, March and April. It increased by 17.7% compared to the same period last year and 51.7% compared to the previous month, reaching the level of 52 thousand 500 tons.
While Turkey's seamless pipe imports in June were 55,887 tons in the same month last year, this figure decreased by 4.8% to 53,189 tons. It increased by 1.3% compared to May.
By July, imports of seamless pipes, which were 44,546 last year, decreased by 10% in July 2023 compared to the same month last year and by 24.6% compared to June this year, decreasing to 40,086 tons.
