According to data compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute ( TUIK), Turkey's rebar exports decreased by 47% to 208,000 tonnes in May from 394,000 tonnes in May last year.
However, revenue from exports in May this year was $138.8 million, down 60.1% from May last year.
In May 2023, the country to which Turkey exported the most rebar was Israel with 47 thousand 998 tonnes.
Israel ranked first, followed by the USA importing 31 thousand 645 tonnes of rebar and Yemen importing 24 thousand 952 tonnes.
However, Jamaica, which imported 15 thousand 452 tonnes of rebar, ranked 4th, followed by Ethiopia in 5th place with 12 thousand 49 tonnes.
