In the first nine months of this year, Turkey exported approximately 4.6 million tons of rebar, down 17.8 percent compared to the previous year. Export value fell 1.7 percent year on year to US$ 3.4 billion.
Among these, exports to Israel account for the largest share, with an annual increase of 0.41%, around 786,300 tons. Yemen and the USA ranked second and third with 539,000 tons and 331,300 tons respectively, down 18.3 percent year on year and up 59.7 percent year on year.
In September alone, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to approximately 508,000 tons, down 12.3 percent month on month and 29.4 percent year on year. These exports were worth US$340.2 million, down 10.8% month on month and 35% year on year.
