According to the information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Turkey's pig iron imports increased by 127.99% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and by 8.84% compared to the previous month, reaching 134610 tons.
The total import figure for the January-October period decreased from 1,234,000 tons to 1,152,000 tons, with a decrease of 6.62% compared to the same period last year.
In the 10-month period of the year, the highest figure was in May with 175,949 tons, while the lowest figure was in June. On the other hand, in the said period of 2022, the highest import was in June with 202,757 tons, while the lowest import was in October with 59,043 tons.
