According to the provisional foreign trade data produced within the scope of the general trade system created in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute ( TUIK) and the Ministry of Trade; Türkiye's imports of semi-finished products decreased by 20% in June compared to June last year, from 475 thousand tons to 380 thousand tons.
In the first month of the year, Türkiye's import of semi-finished products decreased by 10% from 465 thousand tons to 417 thousand tons compared to the same month last year.
In the first half of 2023, February was the month that started the first rise
- Semi-finished imports increased by 2% in February compared to February of the previous year, from 409 thousand tons to 417 thousand tons.
- In March, Türkiye's imports of semi-finished products increased by 55% yoy from 413 thousand tons to 641 thousand tons.
- Türkiye's imports of semi-finished products increased by 63% in April compared to April last year, from 485 thousand tons to 790 thousand tons.
- In May, Türkiye's imports of semi-finished products rose by a record 182% compared to May last year, from 289 thousand tons to 815 thousand tons.
- In June, Türkiye's imports of semi-finished products decreased by 20% compared to June last year, from 475 thousand tons to 380 thousand tons.
- Accordingly, in the first 6 months of the year, Türkiye's imports of semi-finished products decreased the most in June.
