Turkey's crude steel production in the first quarter is at its lowest level in the last three years. When crude steel production in January of the last three years is evaluated, Turkey's crude steel production has been decreasing.

In January 2021, Turkey's crude steel production was 3.4 million tons.

In January 2022, Turkey's crude steel production was 3.2 million tons, a decrease of 5.9% compared to the same month of the previous year.

In January 2023, Turkey's crude steel production was the year with the least crude steel production compared to the January of the last three years. In January 2023, Turkey's crude steel production was 2.6 million tons, a decrease of 18.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. In January 2023, Turkey's crude steel production decreased by 23.5% compared to the same month in 2021.

In February 2021, Turkey's crude steel production was 3.103 million tons.

In February 2022, Turkey's crude steel production was 3 million tons, a decrease of 3.32% compared to the same month of the previous year.

As a result of the large earthquake that occurred in Turkey in February 2023, crude steel production decreased by 30% compared to the same month of the previous year, to 2.1 million tons. In February 2023, Turkey's crude steel production decreased by 32.3% compared to the same month in 2021.

In March 2021, Turkey's crude steel production was 3.4 million tons. Turkey reached 3.4 million tons of crude steel production in March 2021, which was the same as the crude steel production in January 2021 (two months earlier).

In March 2022, Turkey's crude steel production was 3.3 million tons, a decrease of 2.9% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Steel production has been decreasing every month

In March 2023, Turkey's crude steel production decreased by 20.6% compared to the same month in 2021. In March 2023, Turkey's crude steel production decreased by 18.2% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 2.7 million tons.
