Turkeybuild Istanbul is set to shape the industry

Opening its doors for the 47th time, Yapı Fuarı – Turkeybuild İstanbul will lead the future of the construction industry with its events held at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center from April 16 to 19, 2025.

Turkeybuild Istanbul is set to shape the industry

Turkeybuild Istanbul 2025, the region's largest construction, architecture, and building technologies exhibition, opens its doors for the 47th time between April 16-19.  Shaped around the themes of innovation, technology, impact, and collaboration, the exhibition will shed light on the industry's future by focusing on key topics such as material science, artificial intelligence, sustainable cities, and social transformation. More than 46,000 professionals are expected to attend the exhibition, which serves as a guide for the construction sector.

The exhibition will bring together international participants from countries including Italy, Austria, China, Russia, Thailand, South Korea, Portugal, Egypt, Georgia, the Czech Republic, and Azerbaijan. This year, it will also be strengthened by a 50% government incentive. Over four days, Yapı Fuarı will host thousands of visitors and welcome 450 invited tour operators from 64 countries, including the USA, China, Russia, UAE, the UK, Germany, Saudi Arabia, India, Egypt, Italy, and France.

Banu Keskin, Director of Turkeybuild Istanbul, highlighted the exhibition's key role in fostering new business collaborations and stated: “Bringing together the most prominent names in construction and architecture, the exhibition will provide entrepreneurs with insights into new business models, products, and ideas that will shape the industry's future. This year, we believe that topics spanning sustainability, technological transformation, social impact, and economic adaptation will guide the sector's development. We are committed to showcasing a broad spectrum of innovations, from cutting-edge materials and smart technologies to sustainable designs and socially impactful projects. The exhibition will offer a direct communication platform for retailers, construction firms, contractors, and other industry stakeholders interested in construction materials, machinery, and technologies.”

Design with Innovation, Improve with Technology, Leave an Impact, and Transform Together!

This year, the event will be held under the motto “Design with Innovation, Improve with Technology, Make an Impact, and Transform Together!”, analyzing the economic, technological, social, and environmental transformations of the architecture and construction sectors. The Yapı Arena events, featuring panels, workshops, and exclusive exhibition tours led by industry pioneers, will offer opportunities to discover creative projects, next-generation materials, and innovative designs. Organized in collaboration with Solo Design & Consultancy, Circular Design, Parametric Architecture, NobonMimarlık, and Piknik Works, the four-day program is set to inspire industry professionals.

With four key themes—"Innovation," "Improvement," "Impact," and "Collaboration"—the exhibition will explore the economic, technological, social, and environmental transformation of the built environment with four co-curators and more than 70 speakers over four days.

  • April 16, Wednesday – Under the theme "Fueling Discovery" discussions will center on innovations shaping the future of construction, breakthroughs in material science, and nature-inspired smart materials. Curated by Esra Aydınoğlu, Co-Founder of Solo Design & Consultancy and Passive House Designer, alongside Özgül Öztürk, Founder of Circular Design, the day will feature sessions such as "If Materials Change, the World Changes! The Start-up Effect," "Cost vs. Value: New Equilibria in Construction Projects," "Ecological Intelligence, Smart Materials: Nature's Digital Network," and "The DNA of Structures: The Intersection of Materials, Architecture, and R&D."

  • April 17, Thursday – The second day, themed "New Matrix of Architecture," will examine topics such as "Drawing with Codes: The Future of Parametric Modeling and Computational Design," "The Digital Fabrication Era: 3D Printing, Robotics, and New Construction Technologies," "From Digital to Material: New Approaches in Architectural Design and Manufacturing," and "Digital Restoration: Resilient Cities and Healing Technologies." Hamid Hassanzadeh, Founder of Parametric Architecture, will serve as the day's co-curator.

  • April 18, Friday – Under the theme "Designing Impact" discussions curated by Dr. H. Cenk Dereli, Founder of NobonMimarlık, will focus on the social impact of architecture through sessions such as "If Architecture Is More Than Aesthetics, Where Is Its Impact?," "Architecture Alone Is Not Enough to Design Cities!," "Timeless Designs: Resilient, Smart, and Impactful," and "Design as a Tool for Struggle/Intervention." This day will bring together policymakers, academics, and private sector leaders to strengthen collaborations.

  • April 19, Saturday – The final day, themed "Together We Transform" will explore the power of collective transformation through discussions like "The New Playground of Architects," "Collaborative Transformation: From Material to Space," "Collaborative Transformation: Towards a New Architecture," "Collaborative Transformation: Urban Crises - Public Spaces," and "The Architecture Ecosystem: From Romantic Dreams to Market Realities." Oğul Can Öztunç, Co-Founder of Piknik Works, will serve as the day’s co-curator.

Innovative Events and High-Quality Exhibition Content: Yapı Arena Stage, Yapı Master Class, Yapı Tech Garage, and the Golden Magnet 'Stand Design Awards'

As an international platform uniting local and international participants, Turkeybuild Istanbul will host discussions on the future of architecture and the construction industry at the Yapı Arena Stage, focusing on sustainability, technology, impact, and collaboration. The event will also provide insights into innovative materials, smart technologies, sustainable designs, and industry transformation.

With the Yapı Master Class, a select group of industry professionals will participate in guided exhibition tours led by expert architects and engineers, engaging in stand visits, hands-on product learning, and thematic discussions for an interactive experience.

At Yapı Tech Garage, start-ups revolutionizing construction design, implementation, and customer experience with next-generation technologies will take the stage. Presenting solutions in areas such as digital design, smart buildings, advanced construction materials, robotics, artificial intelligence, and sustainable technologies, these start-ups will connect with investors. A shared stand model will allow different start-ups to be showcased each day, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 16 projects presented daily.

The exhibition’s prestigious Golden Magnet Stand Design Awards will honor stands that best integrate sustainability, innovation, and technology to create the most engaging visitor experience. An independent jury will evaluate submissions based on Sustainability and Environmental Impact, Design and Aesthetics, Technology and Functionality, Product Presentation, and Interaction criteria.
