Turkey has 4.4% share of the global construction market

The Turkish Contractors Association (TCA) has announced the results of the "World's 250 Largest International Contractors List" for 2023. According to ENR, in its bulletin entitled "Firms Face Challenges in the Big Picture", the size of the global construction market increased from USD 398 billion to USD 428.5 billion in 2022. The bulletin highlighted high global inflation, skills shortages and supply chain issues. It was noted that the projects undertaken in the sector are an advantage for companies in the ongoing change, but the increasing cost of projects is a question mark for the period ahead.

6 Turkish companies made it into the top 100. As in the previous year, 2 Turkish companies were among the top 50.

Regionally, the activities of Turkish companies were mainly concentrated in Europe, including Russia (USD 9.2 bn), the Middle East (USD 4.3 bn), Africa (USD 3.1 bn) and Asia (USD 1.9 bn).
