According to data obtained by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye ranked first in Greece's iron and steel imports. Greece's iron and steel imports from Türkiye increased by 104.3% from 71,214 tons to 145,566 tons in January-March 2024.
This figure increased by 145.9% in March 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year, from 30,753 tons to 75,616 tons. It increased by 91.8% compared to the previous month, February.
Greece imported a total of 245,956 tons of iron and steel from Türkiye in 2023, down 23.4% from 2022.
Türkiye was followed by France with 194,379 tons, Libya with 161,211 tons, North Macedonia with 129,618 tons and the US with 93,585 tons.
