Toyota Tsusho America has announced the acquisition of Radius Recycling, a firm specializing in recycling plastic and metal waste, offering sustainable materials management solutions,  marking a significant step in the field of eco-friendly materials management. This acquisition reinforces Toyota Tsusho America's commitment to reducing its environmental impact and adopting the principles of a circular economy. Toyota aims to achieve a 50% increase in recycling rates in its production processes by 2030.
Radius Recycling has made significant progress in recent years with its technologies for processing waste and converting it back into raw materials.

This agreement is expected to have a substantial impact on the recycling and sustainability sectors. By 2025, the market size of the recycling industry is projected to reach $500 billion.
