The restrictive measures implemented in Shanghai to stop the Kovid-19 outbreak continue to affect the production capacities of Japanese automotive companies.
Toyota's decision to stop 11 production lines until July 8 at its 7 plants in Aiçi, Iwate and Miyagi provinces, announced last week, has been updated.
In line with the new decision, 4 production lines in the facilities in Aiçi province, which is considered the headquarters of the Japanese company, will not be operated for another 10 days in addition to the previous date.
The company announced that it has taken the decision to extend the extension due to delays in parts delivery by its suppliers in China.
It was noted that Subaru and Daihatsu companies also took a break from some of their activities due to the shortage of parts supply.
