Tosyalı Holding 'The Yard' exhibition at Contemporary Istanbul

As part of a collaboration that began three years ago, Tosyalı Holding continues to work with the Contemporary Istanbul Foundation to support forward transformation in the arts. This year's event will be previewed on September 27th and will participate in the 18th Contemporary Istanbul, which will take place at Tersane Istanbul from September 28th to October 1st.

"The Yard" Exhibition Realized in Collaboration with Tosyalı Holding

"The Yard" exhibition is an event that includes outdoor sculptures, videos and installations. This exhibition will meet the audience in a dynamic interaction where industrial objects transform into works of art. Curated by Marc Oliver Wahler, the exhibition will be realized in collaboration with Tosyalı Holding.

Among the artists who will take part in the exhibition are Ângela Ferreira, Anne-Julie Raccoursier, Bosco Sodi, Clemens Wolf, Dorian Gaudin, Gianni Motti, Mehmet Ali Uysal, Nasan Tur and Socratis Socratous.

"Life" by Varol Topaç

Varol Topaç's "Life", which belongs to Tosyalı Holding's sustainable art collection, was created using the upcycling technique from steel production waste. Sculptor Varol Topaç, Deputy Director of the Izmir Painting and Sculpture Museum of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, emphasizes sustainability with this work and transforms waste materials into works of art. The work offers visitors an interactive experience with its kinetic design and reflects the impact of natural disasters on human life.

The artistic consultancy of Dr. Nabat Garakhanova, CEO of Mezo Digital Art, Varol Topaç's work Yaşam symbolizes human endurance, hope and solidarity with its hard material. The main theme of the sculpture emphasizes the impact of natural disasters on human life and the power of humanity to cope with such disasters. The iron material represents durability, while the forms of the sculpture symbolize the will to overcome various challenges and take a step forward. The design of the sculpture is characterized by fluid lines that reflect movement and dynamism. The form of the sculpture represents the strength of the community and the importance of working together.

As part of the 18th edition of Contemporary Istanbul, on September 29, 2023, the exhibition "Tosyalı Holding's Building Sustainability: Dialogue on Public (Public) Art Collaboration" will be organized on September 29, 2023.

67 contemporary art galleries from 22 different countries will welcome art lovers at Contemporary Istanbul's event at Tersane Istanbul. With its historic Golden Horn atmosphere, Contemporary Istanbul will be waiting for its visitors between September 28 and October 1.
