Tosyalı Algierie set to commission second DRI, achieving record production capacity

In a significant development for the steel industry, Tosyalı Algierie is on the verge of commissioning its second Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) unit. This milestone will elevate Tosyalı Algierie to the forefront of DRI production in the Mediterranean basin, encompassing both Europe and North Africa.

Tosyalı Algeria's second direct reduced iron (DRI) plant will soon be commissioned. With the commissioning of the new plant, Tosyalı Algeria will have the largest twin DRI production capacity in the Mediterranean basin with its second DRI plant with a total annual capacity of over 5 million tons. This capacity will make Tosyalı Algeria the leading producer in a wide geography covering Europe and North Africa.

This expansion not only underlines Tosyalı Algeria's commitment to developing its technological infrastructure, but also its strategic stake in meeting the growing demand for steel in the Mediterranean region. The commissioning of the second DRI unit is expected to improve the company's operational efficiency and reinforce its fundamental position in the global steel market.”
