Algerian steelmaker Tosyali Algeria is on track to complete the fourth phase of its capacity expansion project by 2025, introducing a new direct reduced iron plant, electric arc furnace, hot and cold rolling mills, and a galvanizing mill to its Bethia industrial zone. The commissioning of these state-of-the-art facilities is scheduled for 2024, with the cold rolling shop and galvanizing shop set to commence operations in 2025.
This ambitious expansion is expected to triple Tosyali Algeria's export revenues solidifying its position in the global steel market. The completion of this project is poised to significantly contribute to the nation's economic growth and enhance its industrial capabilities for both the company and Algeria. In 2022, Tosyali Algeria produced 3 million tons of metal products, setting the stage for a remarkable leap in production and economic impact.
