Psaki evaluated the agenda and answered the questions of journalists at the daily press conference he held at the White House.
Confirming the news in the press that the USA will announce new sanctions against Russia on April 6, Psaki said, "These sanctions will target Russian government officials, family members, institutions and organizations affiliated with the Russian state."
Pointing out that they will apply these sanctions simultaneously, in cooperation with their European allies, as in the previous sanctions, Psaki noted that the sanctions package will include investment restrictions on Russia.
We share Zelensky's frustration with the UNSC
On the other hand, regarding the criticisms of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in his speech at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), that the council did not do its best for Ukraine and that Russia is still a permanent member of the council, Psaki said:
"We share Zelensky's disappointment that Russia is still a permanent member of the UNSC and we cannot see any change in this. We are currently trying to provide assistance to Ukraine in many areas. One of them is to provide military equipment directly to Ukraine."
