The USA Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced that commercial crude oil stocks in the country increased by 2 million 300 thousand barrels (0.6 percent) last week to approximately 420 million 900 thousand barrels.
It is as important as the data announced, whether the result is in line with expectations or not. The market expectation was that inventories would decrease by 300,000 barrels.
COMMERCIAL CRUDE OIL STOCKS DECREASED 900K BARREL
Strategic crude oil stocks, which are not included in commercial crude oil stocks, decreased by 900 thousand barrels to 617 million 800 thousand barrels. In the said period, US gasoline stocks increased by 3 million 300 thousand barrels (1.5 percent) to 225 million 100 thousand barrels.
OIL PRODUCTION INCREASED
The crude oil imports of the USA increased by an average of 483 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous week and reached approximately 7 million 35 thousand barrels, while its exports decreased by an average of 906 thousand barrels per day to 2 million 114 thousand barrels.
The country's daily crude oil production, on the other hand, increased by 210 thousand barrels in the week of September 25-October 1 to approximately 11 million 748 thousand barrels.
