The difference between the quotas allocated for Turkey according to the first quarter reached 988/t
While 89,869/t quota was announced for Turkey in the second quarter of 2023, no demand for exports has occurred yet. In January 2023, the first announced rebar quota of the year was 88,881/t. The quotas, which were quiet in January, were quickly filled in February. According to the new quotas, 988/t more quotas were allocated in the second quarter. Demands are expected to increase as of the new month.
The quota allocated by the EU for Bosnia and Herzegovina fell in the new quarter
A quota of 59.614/t was announced for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the beginning of the year and only 13.146/t was used until the 21st of March. In the new quarter, the quota allocated to Bosnia and Herzegovina was announced as 32,330/t.
The quota allocated for Moldova has dropped by almost half
At the beginning of the year, the rebar quota allocated to Moldova was announced as 43.811/t. From this amount, the remaining capacity at the end of March was recorded as 29,087/t. In the quotas renewed in the second half of the year, the amount of quota allocated to Moldova decreased by almost half to 27,021/t.
