The price of a ton of billet decreased to between 100 and 500 rupees. The cost of a ton of billets decreased by 500 Indian rupees at the Mumbai billet market.
Additionally, the price per ton of rebar dropped to between INR 100 and 300. Prices dropped by 300 Indian rupees per ton in the markets of Mumbai and Rourkela.
Market price trends were generally downward, and trading volumes were low. Due to a slight increase in inventories at both semi-finished product producers and long product producers, market participants anticipate that prices for semi-finished products will continue to be under pressure.
