The event, which STEELRADAR is a follower of, was organized with the valuable contributions of Carbon Gate Co-Founder & CEO Okan Dursun and Co-Founder & COO Samet Can Topkaya.
The webinar started by emphasizing the importance of carbon footprint in Turkey's foreign trade. At the event, which started on October 1, addressing the effects of carbon regulations on Turkiye's exporters at the border, the founders of Carbon Gate shared their innovative solutions on sustainability and sector-specific consulting services.
In the webinar where there were participants from many sectors, Samet Can Topkaya, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer of Carbon Gate, gave information about the consulting services they offer to companies during the carbon measurement phase. He emphasized that the company provides accurate, transparent and fast emission service on sustainability as a technology that develops sector-specific solutions.
Co-Founder & CEO Okan Dursun, on the other hand, explained Carbon Gate's work in the field of sustainability and stated that the company is taking part in the international arena. Dursun explained that the company provides sectoral-based sustainability trainings to companies, then performs carbon footprint measurement and proposes certified carbon compensation projects for enterprises.
An important part of the webinar was spent with a presentation by Samet Can Topkaya, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer of Carbon Gate, explaining what the carbon footprint is. Topkaya stated that the carbon footprint is a reduced version of the damage caused to the environment under the name of carbon dioxide and conveyed the methods used in calculating this permit in detail. In particular, he emphasized the issue of managing emissions covering the direct supply chain, called Scope 3.
The webinar ended after the questions and answers of the participants. This interactive platform has come to the fore as an important step towards increasing awareness about the carbon footprint in Turkiye's foreign trade.
