Rebar prices decreased from $700 to $600 per ton from the third quarter of this year. However, although these price decreases did not significantly affect Iran's export rebar price, they caused local mills to hesitate to export rebar, resulting in increased inventory levels in local warehouses.
Rebar price per ton on the London Metal Exchange reached $600 and received support from buyers. Subsequently, rebar demand increased for more than a month, causing prices to trade above $600 on the London Metal Exchange. In this period, there was an increase in the prices of rebar exported by Iran. As of the beginning of July, the rebar price falling below $600 on the London Metal Exchange intensified the downward trend of prices and also affected Iran's export item. The current price of Iran's export rebar is 520 per ton.
