TÜİK, Construction Cost Index, January 2023 data has been published. According to the data;
The index increased by 15.32 percent in January compared to the previous month and by 78.52 percent y-o-y.
On a monthly basis, the materials index increased by 5.79 percent and the labor index increased by 47.79 percent. On an annual basis, the materials index increased by 69.01 percent and the labor index increased by 106.95 percent.
Building construction increased by 15.58 percent
The building construction cost index increased by 15.58 percent in January compared to the previous month and by 79.49 percent compared to the same month last year. Compared to the previous month, the materials index increased by 5.61 percent and the labor index increased by 48.48 percent. In addition, compared to the same month last year, the materials index increased by 69.87 percent and the labor index increased by 107.04 percent.
Increase in non-building structures by 75.36 percent annually
The construction cost index for non-building structures increased by 14.45 percent in January compared to the previous month and by 75.36 percent compared to the same month last year. Compared to December 2022, the materials index increased by 6.37 percent and the labor index increased by 45.26 percent. In addition, compared to the same month last year, the materials index increased by 66.34 percent in January and the labor index increased by 106.63 percent.
