The proven trade fair duo will once again bring experts from the fields of sheet metal working and joining technology together from 21 to 24 October 2025 in Stuttgart and will offer numerous highlights throughout the event, namely the best Award, a congress, a forum and a career day.
Once every two years as an industry highlight, the trade fair duo deals with numerous topics covering all aspects of thermal and mechanical sheet metal processing, along with system peripherals including controllers and software, as well as solutions for handling and quality assurance. “The sense of anticipation is already extremely positive once again,” announces Georg Knauer, project manager at trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “Many exhibitors from 2023 have already seized the opportunity of reserving booth floor space for 2025. Preparations are already under way for a follow-up to last autumn’s world-class supplementary programme, and the “best-Award” is entering its second round, which many exhibitors are already looking forward to.”
“best Award” Enters Next Round in 2025
Next year as well, the “best Award” will be presented again at Blechexpo/Schweisstec. It distinguishes outstanding innovations and their development teams in five categories, which are based on the thematic hall layout. “The clear-cut layout of the exhibition halls has proven its worth and will ensure a concise overview again next year, providing a reliable thematic framework for the best Award,” explains Knauer. Sheet metal, pipe and profile processing will be located in halls 1, 3, 5 and 7. Halls 4 and 6 are reserved for stamping technologies. Cutting, joining and fastening technologies will be presented in hall 9. Hall 8 will focus on pressing and forming technologies. Finally, the issues of steel and metal services, as well as surface finishing technology, will be addressed in hall 10. A prominent jury of experts will decide on the winners in the individual categories and present the awards at a festive ceremony at the end of the first day of the trade fair on Tuesday the 21st of October, 2025. As usual, trade media partners MM MaschinenMarkt and Blechnet will be on board again. The time has come to start thinking about submissions – participation is reserved exclusively for exhibitors, and the submissions portal will open on 1 November 2024.
Strong Demand, High Levels of Internationality, Great Inspiration
The industry’s key players from all over the world get together at Blechexpo/Schweisstec. 1256 exhibitors from 38 countries were on site in nine fully occupied halls for four days in 2023. “Blechexpo/Schweisstec will attain similar dimensions again in 2025,” says Knauer. ‘”The high levels of internationality amounting to roughly 45% are well received, and the industry’s “best” players will, of course, be on hand again,” says Knauer. “Companies who still want to participate in the next industry event for sheet metal working and joining technology should register as soon as possible,” says Knauer.
Lots of enthusiastic feedback from exhibitors and expert visitors at previous trade fairs underscores the significance of Blechexpo/Schweisstec, which attracts a national as well as an international audience. With its cutting-edge technologies, the trade fair impressively reflects the industry sector’s performance capabilities. As an important leading trade fair and a valuable business get-together, it’s indispensable for many companies. The sheet metal working industry is facing major challenges – increased energy efficiency, conservation of resources and cost-effectiveness. Future viability and existential competitiveness are at stake. This is why attention is once again being focused on the topics of digitalisation and automation in order to optimally organise processes and compensate for the shortage of qualified personnel.
Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025: the Best Are Shaping the Future
“The best are shaping the future,” notes Knauer. “This will be the focus of Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025. What’s exhibited and discussed here will have a global impact on the industry. And this is why we’re pleased to provide a suitable platform for technological highlights and future-oriented solutions,” promises the project manager. The trade fair’s proven working atmosphere, its clear-cut thematic structure, a well-organized hall layout and a great supplementary program will continue to inspire exhibitors and expert visitors in 2025. A congress is once again in the planning, along with a wide-ranging presentation programme and a new career day for recruiting young talent.
There’s still a bit more than a year to look forward to Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025 – which will set new standards in terms of automation, modernisation of peripherals, parts quality, avoidance of scrap, process improvement, energy conservation and employee safety. Be sure to save the dates: The industry’s best will meet in Stuttgart for the 17th Blechexpo and the 10th Schweisstec from the 21st through the 24th of October, 2025.
