In March, data from the Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand indicates that Thailand's production of finished steel totaled approximately 508,000 tons, marking a 1.6% decrease compared to the previous month and a 17.7% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the consumption of finished steel increased by 2.5% compared to the previous month but declined by 25.1% compared to the same period last year, totaling 1.3 million tons. Long product consumption decreased by 11.4% year on year to approximately 494,000 tons, while flat product consumption fell by 31.5% year on year to about 803,000 tons.

In February, the country reportedly produced about 516,000 tons of finished steel, down 13.9% from a year earlier. Long product output was about 335,000 tons, down 12.7% year-on-year, while flat product output was about 182,000 tons in the same period, down 16%.
